Chess Tournament Sunday, April 22nd

Chess Tournament this Sunday, April 22nd!

Portland Chess Club. Doors open at 12:30, tournament starts at 1:00.

A great tune-up for Seaside – however, this is _not_ a USCF qualifier as the deadline for those has passed.

Novice sections usually end in about 90 minutes – a great and gentle introduction to tournament chess.

Trophies, medals and ribbons. Choice of trophy or cash prize for winners of USCF-rated sections.

This is not an OSCF qualifier. The top all-USCF quads will be USCF rated.

And the Winners Are…

…Seth, Sean, Ben, Akshay!

But really it was better than that because there were two three-way ties for first and one two way tie! It was a great day of fighting chess.

And there was a lot of great sportsmanship, too.

Thank-you all for coming! We hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did.

Tournament results were sent to OSCF and USCF for posting last night.

We will be back in three weeks on January 8th and hope to see you then (you can pre-register here)

Seth and Everett

USCF-rated quads now play game in 45 minutes. All games count as OSCF qualifiers.
